Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, a constituent college of University of Delhi which was established in 1951 carved a niche for itself and is known to be one of the leading colleges of University.It is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutes for science, commerce and arts in India. Ignite - The Placement Cell
The Placement Cell of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a full fledged training and placement cell which periodically liaises and interacts with the corporate world in order to explore the possibility of training and job placement for the students. Apart from bringing a varied list of recruiters to the campus, it organizes talks,study abroad seminars, internship opportunities and workshops for the collective student body.
The Training and Placement Cell of the college provides following facilities at the college premises:
1. Conducting mock interviews and group discussions to make students aware of the selection procedure of the corporates.
2. Providing summer industrial training, internship opportunities and final placement opportunities to the students.
3. Conducting industrial visits and industry-oriented training programmes.
4. Inviting professional speakers impart necessary inputs for the above mentioned activities.
Through these initiatives, Ignite endeavours to imbibe a sense of professionalism in its students.

The mission and endeavour of The Placement Cell of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is focused on catering to the needs of leading organizations in conducting the recruitment process for the final year students across all domains. The Placement Cell is assisted by student representatives from various branches of study making it a team of 34 individuals who are driven to ensure eminent placement, internships and articleship opportunitiesto the students. The foundation of a successful placement session was laid by inviting a spectrum of companies for seminars and workshops aimed at assisting the students on having transformative career pathways. We look forward to make certain that the students are well-equipped with a plethora of skills and glimpses of the corporate world to help them build on their talent.

The placement cell at our college was kick-started in the academic year 2006-07, due to the initiative taken by the Principal along with a dynamic English (Hons) student, Dashmeet Kaur. Dashmeet, personally contacted companies and got them to college for recruitments. Initially, we had only 4 to 5 companies coming annually, most of which were BPOs and KPOs, whereas nowadays, we get a lot of inquiries from companies ranging from banks to consultancies, newspapers to TV channels, as well as pharmaceutical companies and NGOs.
